Have you ever met label material curling, especially for matt PP and gloss PP with frozen adhesive or hotmelt adhesive?

In fact, this issue is mostly caused by the absorption or loss of water in the paper liner during the self-adhesive material production process. As you can see in our video, the labels become flat after corresponding treatment.

There are different reasons for self-adhesive material curling, we provide provide following  suggestions and hope it can help you:

1. Water absorption or loss of the liner: In most cases, the supplier fails to control the humidity during production, resulting in curled products directly. This reflects the supplier’s unprofessional production team and lack of quality control processes. We suggest cooperate with a more professional supplier.

2. Inappropriate storage environment: Try to store the materials in a constant temperature and humidity environment (23℃±2℃, 50% relative humidity). If this is not achievable, ensure that the packaging is only opened when in use.

3. If the materials are not used up at one time, seal them with plastic film as soon as possible and use them up quickly to prevent curling caused by water loss or lack.
