Recently, a new client wanted to test our high-tack hot melt adhesive label material for application on rigid cardboard.

After fully understanding his requirements, we sent him free samples for test. However, after just touching the label by hand, the client thought the adhesion was not strong enough and doubted it would work for his application.

I just realised that maybe it is a common misunderstanding for many people,hope I can help you here.

Self-adhesive labels, also known as pressure-sensitive labels, require proper pressure during application. The adhesive will reach its maximum and stable bonding performance 24 hours after labeling.

Some adhesives feel extremely sticky at first but their adhesion drops significantly over time. Some Others may not feel strong adhesion at first, yet their adhesion grows stronger over time.

Here is the right way we suggest to test label performance: Apply the label to your substrate, let it rest for 24 hours or longer, then check if edge has lifting or dropping off issue.
