Label liners, also known as release papers, mainly have three types: transparent PET film, translucent glassine paper, and opaque CCK/PEK paper. Most of these liners are silicone-coated on one side only.

Each liner type serves distinct application scenarios:

Glassine: Ideal for low to medium-speed automatic labeling. It is not suitable for ultra-high-speed operation as it may break. Also, glassine is sensitive to humidity changes, which can cause self-adhesive label material curling.

Transparent PET: Perfect for ultra-high-speed labeling, such as beverage labels. It can support a labeling speed up to 300pcs per minute. Featuring excellent toughness, PET liners resist breakage and are unaffected by humidity.

CCK & PEK: used for manual labeling, widely applied on cartons, chemical drums and similar products. This material is also easy to curl due to paper absorb or lose water.

We specialize in manufacturing roll & sheet self-adhesive label materials, including standard types and specialty functional materials (low-temperature resistant, high-temperature resistant, removable adhesives and more). With 3 production bases across China, our Technical Director has over 10 years of R&D experience at Avery. Feel free to reach out if you need any help!
