How much do you know about Dyne level in self-adhesive label industry?
Date: 2026-04-24 Categories: 新闻中心 Views: 11
Dyne level represents the material resist or combine performance with other liquid or adhesive, which determines the adhesion of ink or adhesive.
It directly affects printing performance and adhesive selection.
If the dyne level of the label material face stock is too low, ink may peel off from surface material after printing.
Generally, film-based label material face stocks require a minimum dyne level of 38.
If the substrate has a low dyne level (meaning have low surface energy), you need to choose self-adhesive materials with higher-performance adhesives and conduct pre-testing.
Ordinary adhesives show poor combination on low-surface-energy substrates, leading to weak adhesion and cannot meet customer requirements.
A typical example is standard HDPE plastic drums, which are low-surface-energy substrates.
