Die-cut Waste Stripping & Label Picking Issue: Causes & Solutions
Date: 2026-04-24 Categories: 新闻中心 Views: 13
Have you ever met label picking when stripping die-cut waste?
Below I’ve sorted out the key causes and practical solutions for your reference.
1. Insufficient or uneven silicone oil coating
Too little or uneven silicone coating will cause excessive tension on die-cut waste, resulting in waste tearing, or label failure to peel off during automatic labeling.
Solution: Require material suppliers to apply silicone oil in strict accordance with standards, optimize production processes, and guarantee even & consistent silicone coating.
2. Low temperature influence (only occurs in winter)
If the problem only happens in cold weather, low temperature will reduce adhesive tackiness.
Solution: Restore adhesive performance by heating, such as air conditioning heating or local partial heating.
3. Die-cut machine design
For some equipment, die-cut waste passes through too many rollers before stripping.
Squeezing pressure makes waste adhesive stick to label adhesive, which causes labels to be picked up together with waste.
Solution: Finish waste stripping right after die-cutting; if not feasible, switch to firmer, higher-stability adhesive.
