How to distinguish CCK AND PEK liner?

In label industry,we normally have 4 types liner:Glassine (semi-transparent); PET (transparent);CCK & PEK (opaque)

 CCK = Clay Coated Kraft Paper,White only, coated with clay.

 PEK = PE Coated Kraft Paper,Available in white & yellow, with a PE film coating.

Here I’d like to share a easy way to distinguish white CCK and PEK liners:put a drop of water on finger and rub hard.

If you find a thin plastic film → it’s PEK liner

If nothing in the end → it’s CCK liner
