We can tear the facestock:1. If samples can be easily torn, this is paper label, paper label includs semi-gloss label, thermal label, maplitho label and casted label.2.If samples cann't be torn, this is plastic film label, plastic label includs PE label, PP label, PVC label and PET label3. If we tear sample and find the upper layer of film cannot be torn, but the lower layer can be torn, usually this is film coated semi-gloss label. Hot melt and Acrylic adhesive for labels

1.Acrylic is more expensive than hot melt on price.2.From usage, hot melt is recommended for oil drums, cartons, outdoor, etc. acrylic adhesive is more recommended for food glass bottles and pharmaceutical.3.Hot melt has strong initial adhesion,but can not last long. Acrylic initial adhesion is weaker than hot melt but it can last long.4. Plastic film(PP,PE,PET) usually work with acrylic adhesive.

Regarding adhesive,there are permanent adhesive and removable adhesive two options.Permanent adhesive has hot melt ,acrylic and solvent options. Hot melt has high initial stickiness performance but can’t last long, it is widely used with paper label.Acrylic adhesive:initial stickiness is not very high but it can last long time, it can be washed off, it is common used with plastic film label.Solvent adhesive can keep good stickiness performance with high temperature and widely used for special occasions, such as engine label,outdoor,battery and so on.Removable label means it can be re-position for many times, we can often find it with Wet wipes.This is plastic film facestock with removable adhesive, it can be peeled off repeatedly without being torn and keep good stickiness.
